Guitar Project by Rob Hawkins

Introduction

I plan to build a guitar from a kit , which I have already bought, and customise the kit to suit what I think it should look like.

My reasons for buying a kit and not starting completely from scratch are, it is very expensive to buy all the individual parts such as, the wood and electronics, i have worked out that to buy the high quality objects needed it would cost £922 . The building process is complicated and takes years of training in woodwork skills (as my dad had explained) to master the skills and i don't have the right tools and experience to even attempt a project of that scale.

These are the body and neck components of the guitar, electrics and the plastic plates which i intend to replace with brass plates. The neck does not quite fit into the neck slot in the body of the guitar, at the moment, so i will have to sand it down using sandpaper as it is slightly too large.
